This was taken back in November and I still remember that day rather well. It was a Sunday evening. I was still somewhat new to photography and I was still using my iPhone to take pictures. I took this using the Hipstamatic App on my iPhone. That evening I was wandering around Clayton County looking for interesting areas to snap. This place was right off of Tara Blvd going towards the school where my sister teaches. I'm not exactly sure of what store it used to be, but upon seeing it I had to stop and take a picture of it. I ended up having to park at a hotel down from it because there were concrete barriers blocking the automobile entrances. I took several once inside the parking lot; some of the construction equipment that was fenced in and a few of the building. This is the one however that stuck out the most.
I titled it "No more Black Fridays; Just Black Days". It was the Sunday before Black Friday and seeing it just made me think, no one else will ever set foot in this shopping center for a Black Friday Sale or any sale really. I take this to be a sign of the times. Unfortunately nothing has gotten better since then. With the stock market dipping and the credit rating changing, I feel that this pic is more relevant than ever. Hopefully this isn't our future. On a lighter note, Flickr says that this is my most 'interesting' picture.
